Backups¶
Canonical backup / archive plan. Absolute paths belong only in gitignored .rig.local.yaml. Evidence remains INTENDED until restore/export is verified.

Instructions¶
Repository canonical YAML snapshot (repository-state)¶
Create with uv run rig snapshot create. Embeds automatically in uv run rig backup create.
Notes: Dated full-rig configuration snapshot of data/*.yaml (RIG-016).
Ableton PFL jam template / set (pfl-jam-ableton-set)¶
Point paths.pfl_jam_ableton_set in .rig.local.yaml at the Live Set or project file, then run uv run rig backup create.
Notes: Template location + version/date should be documented once restored once.
Controller mappings export (controller-mappings)¶
Export Launchpad, Launch Control 3, padKONTROL, FCB1010, ZeRO SL, and related mapping files from each editor/device. Optionally set paths.controller_mappings_export if a collected folder exists.
Notes: Prefer external archive path; do not dump large binaries into git.
Stream Deck+ profiles (stream-deck-profiles)¶
Export Stream Deck+ profiles (PFL HOME, OBS REC/SCENES/SAFE, ABLETON, FILES, MAC-RIG, SETTINGS) from the Elgato software and archive outside git.
Notes: Hands-off profile intent remains INTENDED until device-verified.
OBS profile and scene collection (obs-profile-scenes)¶
Export OBS profile + scene collection (including SAFE stop/mute/isolate intents) and store the archive path via paths.obs_export when available.
Notes: No OBS websocket automation in Stage 11.
KAOSS Replay settings backup (kaoss-settings)¶
Capture KAOSS Replay settings / project backup per device procedure and archive outside the repository.
Notes: Sampling/monitor path is separate from clean TASCAM captures.
Important samples / PFL assets (pfl-samples-assets)¶
Manually archive important samples and PFL assets to an external location. Do not commit large media into git.
Notes: Location documented in local notes only; no canonical absolute path.
U6MIDI Pro route configuration (u6midi-routes)¶
Export or photograph U6MIDI Pro route configuration and archive with the controller backup set.
Notes: Covered by RIG-043 definition of done; paths unknown in repo.

rig snapshot create captures canonical data/*.yaml. rig backup create embeds a snapshot and copies configured FILE_COPY / DIRECTORY_COPY items; MANUAL_EXPORT items are reported for operator action.
Broad --snapshot-before integration on mutation commands is deferred; use uv run rig snapshot create manually before risky changes.
