Farm market channel categories¶
Purpose¶
Stable buckets for how product reaches buyers—used so revenue and enterprise analyses can say “direct retail” or “wholesale” without redefining channels each time.
Scope¶
- In scope: Typical channel types relevant to the vault’s enterprise discussions (production-led vs alternate scenarios).
- Out of scope: Your customer list, pricing, or contracted volumes.
Knowns¶
- The ET enterprise options and recommended strategy analyses compare paths (e.g. grazing-led vs deferred options); agritourism is treated as a different scenario package with its own hub.
Assumptions¶
- Most enterprises use multiple channels; the buckets are for planning, not exclusivity.
