Farm water infrastructure system¶
What this entity is: Farm-scale water movement and storage as an infrastructure system: sources (well, surface, municipal), pumps, tanks, distribution (pipe, valves), irrigation emitters, and livestock drinkers—considered together because failures are welfare and crop critical.
Why it matters: Two-site ops and validation backlogs treat water as a gate for scaling livestock or irrigation; telemetry (tank level, flow, pressure) is often high ROI but still subordinate to physical redundancy and manual fallback.
Canonical analyses / runbooks: Manual fallback for irrigation, gates, and pumps, Manual fallback and degraded modes — critical operations; business plan capital chapters for sequencing.
Does not claim: GPM, head, or pipe sizing for your farm—those require engineering and site data.
