System of record (farm data)¶

The system of record (SoR) is the place a defined category of information is authoritative for decisions and audit: e.g. long-term asset history, financial books, legal parcel boundaries. Telemetry streams, dashboards, and alerts are often not the SoR unless explicitly designed that way—they can be stale, lossy, or ephemeral.
